Gatonieve son Elena Merlo (teclado, guitarra y voz), Javier García (batería y teclado) y Álvaro Rubalcaba (guitarra, sintes
y programaciones).
En 2008 graban su debut homónimo. Tras reconfigurar la banda,
en 2010 graban un EP que vió la luz en otoño de 2011 (Grieta).
Después de la presentación del disco en la sala Costello de Madrid, la banda se disuelve oficialmente en 2012.
